EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Heather brings a lifelong passion for education, faith, and the performing arts to the Deo Gloria Performing Arts team, where she serves as Executive Director. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Heather has educated hundreds of students across North Carolina and online after graduating from N.C. State with a degree in education.

For more than 13 years, Heather has been actively involved in theater alongside her children, serving in a wide range of roles with multiple theater companies, including director, assistant director, stage manager, and more. While she loves theater deeply, her greatest joy comes from watching both children and adults use their God-given gifts to shine for Christ on stage.

Heather’s heart for ministry began early, leading Bible studies for children and families, and helping instill God’s Word in the lives of young people. That same heart now fuels her vision for Deo Gloria Performing Arts: creating a safe, faith-centered space where performers can grow artistically, build community, and use their talents to glorify God.

She lives in Wilmington with her husband Jeff and their three sons, and is passionate about seeing lives encouraged and faith strengthened through Christ-honoring theater.

PRODUCTION DIRECTOR

Kaity has loved the performing arts for as long as she can remember. Growing up in New Jersey, she was involved in community theater, opera, and church choir, and also worked in film and print projects in New York City, gaining early exposure to professional production environments.

Now based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Kaity serves as Production Director for Deo Gloria Performing Arts. In recent years, she has continued performing locally in roles that reflect her appreciation for stories that honor faith, family, and enduring truth.

Kaity brings both artistic experience and structured leadership to her work, shaped by over five years in leadership and classroom roles within a classical Christian school, where she has served students at every level through administration, teaching, and curriculum development. Kaity serves in the music ministry at Eastwood Community Church, leads the Children’s Ministry, and supports the church’s youth ministry alongside her husband.

At the heart of her work is a love for all things beautiful — from music and stage productions to visual art and the quiet cultivation of beauty in everyday life. She believes excellence is not merely aesthetic, but an act of worship. Whether organizing a classroom, managing a production, or shaping an environment where artists can flourish, her desire is to create spaces that reflect order, truth, and goodness.

Kaity lives in Wilmington with her husband Mike and their two sons and considers it a joy to help bring stories of faith to life for both performers and audiences.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Paul has been immersed in theater since the age of five and brings a deep well of creative experience to Deo Gloria Performing Arts as Creative Director. Over the years, he has worked across nearly every area of theater, including directing, music directing, stage managing, acting, writing original musicals, and supporting productions behind the scenes.

Paul has a passion not only for excellence in the arts, but for helping others discover who they are in Christ and who they are as performers. He loves sharing the Gospel through theater and finds great joy in empowering fellow artists to grow, take creative risks, and bring meaningful, high-quality productions to life.

As a writer and creative leader, Paul has contributed to multiple stage works, award-winning films, and audio dramas, always with a heart for storytelling that points audiences to truth. His vision for Deo Gloria Performing Arts is to cultivate a Christ-centered creative environment where faith and artistry work hand in hand.

Paul lives in Wilmington with his two brothers and his wonderful parents, and is grateful to serve alongside a community of artists committed to glorifying God through the performing arts.

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

Luke brings a deep commitment to excellence, faith, and technical craftsmanship to Deo Gloria Performing Arts, where he serves as Technical Director. With a lifelong background in technology and a long history in theater production, Luke has supported countless performances through sound, lighting, video, and systems design, ensuring that creative vision and technical execution work seamlessly together.

For many years, Luke has served in AV, IT, and production leadership roles across faith-based theaters and churches, including work with Spiritual Twist Productions, Greater Glory Worship Arts, and other performing arts groups. His experience spans stage lighting and audio, livestreaming, projection and LED systems, backstage workflows, and production infrastructure. Alongside theater work, he has spent over five years serving as an AV and IT manager in church environments and regularly consults with churches on technology strategy, system upgrades, and volunteer training.

Luke is passionate about using technology as a tool for ministry, believing that strong technical foundations allow artists and storytellers to serve audiences with clarity, excellence, and integrity. He finds great purpose in equipping teams, mentoring volunteers, and creating organized, dependable systems that support Christ-centered storytelling on and off the stage.

He lives in Wilmington and is grateful to serve alongside a community of artists and leaders who are committed to glorifying God through thoughtful, well-crafted, and faithful performing arts.

MARKETING DIRECTOR

Nelly has always had a deep affinity for the arts. His passion began in high school, where he first became involved in theatrical productions, and it has only grown stronger ever since. Over the years, he has immersed himself in many facets of community theatre—teaching classes, building sets, crafting props, sewing costumes, blocking scenes, choreographing, directing, and creating content. His love for storytelling and creativity continues to shape his journey.

Relocating to Wilmington, North Carolina, has been a deeply rewarding season in Nelly’s life. He believes God has clearly confirmed this is where he is meant to be. One of the driving forces behind his move was the pursuit of greater opportunities in the theatre world. Through his work, Nelly is passionate about demonstrating that it is possible to pursue theatre while remaining rooted in the Christian faith—without compromise.

Nelly serves as the Marketing Director for Deo Gloria Performing Arts where he captures and shares meaningful moments that reflect the beauty of God’s presence within the arts, creating lasting memories for audiences and participants alike.

Nelly brings creativity, dedication, high energy, and a strong work ethic to everything he does. His experience spans performance, directing, and technical theatre, and he has worked extensively with children’s theatre programs.

As a working actor in the Wilmington theatre community, Nelly continues to pursue excellence in his craft while growing in his relationship with Christ. He is passionate about using the gifts God has given him to bless others and hopes that his work will inspire and encourage those who encounter it.
